The Supermoto Club of WA is pleased to announce “HWE Maintenance Services” as the naming rights sponsor for the two round Australian Supermoto Championships to be held at the Wanneroo International Kart Track between the 26th – 29th November 2009.

“HWE Maintenance Services”, conduct minesite maintenance for BHP.

The Club is also pleased to announce that three top flight Supermoto riders will be making the trip “Down Under” from Italy and the UK to take part in this exciting event.

Davide Gozzini TM Factory Racing will be making his second trip down under in as many years, having contested the Australian Championships in Northam in 2008. He will be joined by fellow World Supermoto rider Christian Iddon from the UK, and dual British Junior Supermoto Champion Lewis Cornish.

Twenty eight year old Gozzini will ride a Production based TM SM 450 with his suspension fitted. The bike is currently on its way to Australia, having been manufactured and tested in just under a fortnight.

Twenty four year old Iddon will be riding a replica Aprilia 550 VDB which was ridden by Josh McFarlane in the 2008 Supermoto championships. The bike is to be loaned to Iddon by Gordon Milne, and he will ride under the # 949 as requested by Milne for personal reasons.

Sixteen year old Cornish will ride a Honda CRF 450 which again is being loaned for the event. Marty Duke who is the Spare Parts & Accessories Manager at Yamaha City in Melbourne owns the bike which will be transported from Melbourne for Cornish to ride in the event.
