Location: Stein (NL) April 17th/18th 2009
Track: "het oud vaer" Elsloo
MCC STEIN had invited us for this event - since 1992 they organize the MX event on this track next to the river "Maas".
On friday was the free practice for all competitors, but it had rained for hours and the track transformed into a swamp.
The rain stopped at night and on saturday the conditions were really good - perfect grip and bright sunshine !
More than 60 TM riders had entered the race so we had to split the TM Cup in 2 different classes. Like Stallmeister
said in this video "BLUE is the colour of today" ... the whole paddock was TM Blue !!!
There were riders from Belgium, Holland, Germany and even from Ukraine ... that's the proof that the TM CUP is
growing bigger and bigger !

The Amateur/Enduro class had several surprises. Up in front the two veterans Albin Haas (TM HAAS) and Andreas Herresthal
(ZAH) fighted for the win - Andreas was the one who won the final race so he won the event this time.
Biggest sensation was Benoit Pauwels (GRAVITY RACING) from Belgium - at the age of 11 he lost his left arm and startet
afterwards his MX career. The track suited him very well and Benoit was able to reach the 5th place in both races.
The 2nd sensation was the 65cc rider Domien Vermeiren (MX VERMEIREN) - the young guy raced through the pack and was able
to finish 6th in the overall standings !
In the Pro-class were a lot of fast riders. The Weiss Brothers (TM GERMANY) came to Stein as european champions
and they could confirm their reputation - but they didn't get it for free. The young Glen Cools (GARAGE FRIANT) was able
to beat Christian in the first race and finished 2nd in race one. Richard Vermeiren (MX VERMEIREN) is used to this kind of
track conditions and he loves it - he finished 4th overall - followed by Uwe Jordine (GRAVITY RACING).
The rider who had the longest travel to this event was Alexei Molchanov (TM UKRAINE).
This TM Cup in Stein was the biggest success so far - next race is on Juli 11th in AXEL (NL)
