The FIM Motocross (MX1/MX2) and Supermoto (S1/S2) World Championship leaders signed the FIM Environmental Charter and committed to respecting various items related to the environment in the motorcycling sport (see articles below).
Among these leaders could not try to miss Thierry Van Den Bosch and Davide Gozzini, leaders of the Supermoto World Championship.
The World Environment Day is officially celebrated on June 5th but the FIM took the chance to celebrate the event during this weekend of racing.
The FIM, signed an agreement with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2006, and it was the first International sporting Federation to enforce an Environmental Code in 1994.
