Stop in Piediluco on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April to play the fourth and fifth acts of the Enduro Absolutes of Italy. A weekend full of emotions and twists in the small Terni village in which our riders were among the protagonists, in this race that marked the turning point of the 2021 season of the top Italian Championship.
Day1 more difficult than usual for our riders in the overall standings, due to the rain-soaked special stages of the previous days where our riders struggled to find the right feeling.
Matteo Pavoni in Day 1 won the Junior class and finished thirteenth overall. Unfortunately on Day 2 he had to retire due to a electrical problem while he was again in command of the Junior and tenth overall. However, he remains the leader of the Junior class.
Lorenzo Macoritto in Day 1 wins the 250 2T class and ends in fourteenth place overall due to a subdued first lap of the race. In Day 2, a new class victory and an excellent seventh overall, just 10 seconds from the fourth. He is also leader in his class.
Matteo Cavallo closes Day 1 with a second place in the 250 4T just eight seconds behind the winner and fourth overall. On Sunday he redeems himself with a class victory and an excellent second overall. He confirms his class leadership and second place in the overall standings.
Wil Ruprecht after a “learning” day 1, finished in ninth place overall, in special stages still not very congenial to him, confirmed his value in Day 2 by winning the Absolute classification. This result confirms him as leader in the Italian Championship 2021!
Jarno Boano: “The first day was not easy, perhaps due to a bit of tension due to the results obtained in the previous race and perhaps due to a lack of confidence with the wet ground of the first lap. However, I am very happy with the approach my boys had. That, after a further vision of the special stages on Saturday evening, on Sunday they turned the page and returned to riding as they know how to do. I close with a simple “Bravi Ragazzi !! … top behavior in all situations” … and they know what it means !! See you next time. Congratulations also to the TM Moto 3 Team at CEV for the excellent second place for Salvador !!
