Fourth round of the season for the European Supermoto in Thessaloniki, very fast track but with very technical features.

Thomas Chareyre is back after the injury suffered in Poland, the points to be recovered are many but the six-time world champion has no intention not to try until the end.

Thomas in the first two free practice sessions works to find the right set-up of his bike and then to attack in qualifying where he gets the pole position. Good fourth place for Diego Monticelli, Juan Llados in difficulty has to settle for the eleventh place.

At the start of race 1 Thomas fails to get a good start and at the first corner is second, Chareyre has studied his opponent for a few laps and then launch the decisive attack and take the lead to the race and go under the checkered flag by winner. Diego Monticelli failed to be incisive and closed in fourth position. Llados, author of some too many mistakes, ended his race in 19th position.

Thomas in the second heat did not miss anything, start impeccable incredible pace in the first part of the race to take the right advantage and last laps to administer, Chareyre wins the GP with a great double. Monticelli has tried until the last to overtake his direct opponent and move into third position that would have meant a well-deserved podium, unfortunately Diego has committed some small smudging failing to complete his attack.

Thomas Chareyre managed to recover some important points and will take the last race scheduled for September to reconfirm himself as a champion.

Alex Serafini comments the race: “Exceptional race, Thomas after the bad injury suffered in Poland is back as strong as before.
It has once again shown its strength, the championship is not lost yet and we will try until the last corner of the last round.
I’m also very happy with Diego who is approaching the milgiors with a great job.”
